The things you find

I am in the process of cleaning out my bedroom closet, only because I have bought a rod extender that hangs down and I now need the room near the floor that is currently assigned to old magazines and assorted of boxes of junk.

This is what I have found thus far: copies of Rosie (now defunct after she was sued), Today's Parent dating back to April of 1995, and Cosmo UK (much better than American Cosmo.) There are dozens of playschool and kindergarten pieces of artwork that belong to both Taylor and Liam. There is a very dusty box full of unused sex toys. There are 2 of those cassette holder things full of tapes from the 80s and early 90s. I was late to the world of CDs, so I was. There are newborn clothes belonging to Saoirse to be boxed up and passed on to her sister. There are odd socks and a purple bra from the days when black and white were not the only colours of underclothing I owned. There are song lyrics for a scrapbook I never made. There is a box full of magazines and newspaper clippings on Princess Diana's death. I thought Taylor might one day have an interest, but somehow I doubt it. There is a folder of clippings with the news of River Phoenix's death (will definitely hold onto those as she is named after him), an article on the Hothouse Flowers when they came to Edmonton with the Tragically Hip's Another Roadside Attraction tour in 1993 (I still have that tshirt) and a few articles reviewing Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, which is still one of my favourite novels. There is a scrapbook of the River Phoenix pinups from Bop and Tiger Beat that I was unwilling to throw away when I took them all down in highschool.

This is just one corner, I wonder what I might unearth in the other three. I know there are some Christmas gifts I never gave to my cousin's son from 2 years ago, they are wrapped so no idea what they are anymore. Sure someone will enjoy them.
