6 days to go!!!! And then my baby will be home. I am so excited to see Saoirse again. More new changes- she bounces up and down when her dad comes in from work, she can say her name and says "g'day", all with an Australian accent. I suppose that will go quickly and she will just have a regular old boring Canadian accent. You'd think we'd live somewhere good like Nova Scotia or Newfoundland to at least have something other than dull for an accent. Of course, I could live without the bad grammar that comes with being from Newfoundland. (And don't you try and deny it if you're from there, it's bloody terrible.)
Oh, it's also 6 days until William comes home which is also a fantastic thing. In different ways entirely.

Well im new to your blog so I don't know why Saoirse (intersting name btw) is in Australia so forgive me for being lost but I still wanted to congratulate you on getting to see her again in 6 days!! I *LOVE* the australian accent.. it is too adorable. I have a boring Canadian accent as well now living in Great Britian.. Well anyway congrats Emma!!

Long story, hopefully short...Saoirse's dad is not a resident here so he has been doing the visitor thing, 6 months here, 2 there, and then back here and so on. His extension to stay was denied in January so he went back in February and took her with him to meet his family. They'll be back on Sunday and on Monday we are posting his permenant resident application. Hopefully he'll be approved!
Saoirse is Irish for freedom. It was a fight, but I really wanted that name.
Don't they love your Canadian accent there? It's never dull when you're somewhere else, just here.
Hahaha, I live in Nova Scotia so you would have a good laugh at my accent. It's pretty bad too. LOL. So glad you'll get to see your little one soon too. I hope his application gets approved too! How's the b/p and headaches going?
yippee 6 days! Is William not Norn Irish? I suppose I never thought about the Australia thing before...why is he there?
Emmakirst, I quite enjoy the east coast accent, and would much prefer it to my own blah-sounds-like-half-of-america accent!
Boliath, Another long story! William moved to Australia at 15 and with the exception of 7 years spent back in N.Ireland, has lived there since. His mum and step dad are there, as well as 2 sisters and his step kids that he picked up while back in Ireland. There's one reason we will never live in Australia- he's already sponsered a family to move there. Plus, there's my great fear of spiders.
emma - Yeah I think they like the accent here..lol
That is a beautiful name and knowing what it means makes it even more so..
Wow can I so relate to the resident issues. I am in a similar situation myself. I really hope he gets approved!! It will sure take a load of stress off im sure!
Man you must miss Saoirse sooo much.. It will be great that you will be reunited with her shortly!!!
