Middle Name Meme

Chris over at Ms Cellania tagged me for this meme in which "You must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog."

My middle name is Jayne and as I try and think of words with those letters I am cursing my mother for adding that y to be different from everyone else in my dad's family. Jane was my dad's grandmother name and I believe that almost every family descended from her has a daughter with Jane as either the first or middle name. I sort of regret not using Jane as a middle name for one of my girls. You know, considering Saoirse is the only one with a name I actually like (Saoirse Maeve, in case you were wondering.) Ah well, no point in regretting what is already done.

So...

J- Jealous. God, that's horrid to say. I think I was a very jealous person, but as I've gotten older I've realized there really is no point. Why should I be jealous of what others have that I don't? Who knows what else is going on in their life? I have noticed that if I genuinely like someone I don't feel jealousy, I would say I was happy for them in situations which otherwise might make me a tad jealous. I asked William what j word would describe me and he said joyous. Which made me laugh really, really hard.

A- Astute. Well, I'm not entirely stupid. I could have said asinine, which I occasionally am also. Oh, and I'm am an Albertan. Which usually isn't something I proclaim with joy. Alberta is like America's Alabama. Don't be offended people from Alabama, I needed an "A" state. And Arizona and Alaska just aren't quite right. Maybe I should have said Arkansas.

Y- Young. You know, if you're 88 I am. If you're 22...I'm not.

N- Nice. I am. My kids won't always say I am, but that's just because I'm a bich if you aren't inside the computer. Okay, that's not entirely true. I am only a bitch if you are between the ages of 11 and 12 and I spent anywhere from 8 to 36 hours pushing you out of my vajayjay while you were sunny side up. If that doesn't describe you then I am really freaking nice. So nice I get awards in fact. That I will one day post and pass on. Oh, shush, I know you've all got them by now.

E- English. Ex-pat. An English ex-pat. Oh, you can say I can't really say I'm English and I suppose other than the missing birth certificate and the expired passport there really is no proof. There is no accent, I am pretty much Canadianized. But my mother says I am English, and since she almost died pushing me out of her vajayjay, I am bloody well English, goddamn it. Though I'd rather be Irish. Which really pisses her off. You'd think that after 12 years she would have forgiven my father. And...I'm an Edmontonian. Yes, Edmonton, a little island of liberal red in a sea of conservative blue.

I'm supposed to tag people whose names begin with the letters J A Y N E.

Hmmm... Joy, Catwoman, Alissa*...ummm that's it I think. I would have thought someone's name started with an E. Is there not an Elizabeth out there? No Elaine? No Nicole? No Yvonne? And since I'm nosy, if you feel like just telling me your middle name, go for it. I love names.

* I know you have been tagged for this already. And I know you never do these things. But I think we have been bloggy friends for long enough that I can insist you do it.

My sister's middle name is Jayne, she quite liked the y as it made her different.

Pffffft! And that means I may or may not do it. But probably :o) And nice of William for saying "joyous" for the j word. I fear my husband would have said jackass or something!

beccy has already commented about sam's middle name. I did put the 'y' in so that it wasn't plain jane!

BTW you don't really have to tag people using middle name letters that was just what I decided to do but it kind of worked!

Good lawd woman -- you make me laugh so hard.
"I am only a bitch if you are between the ages of 11 and 12 and I spent anywhere from 8 to 36 hours pushing you out of my vajayjay"

I totally relate to the 36 hours...that's how long it took with my first baby. My second was 22 hours. That's bullshit what they say about forgetting the pain. I still remember every single flucking second of each one!

We almost gave Tabby that Middle name. I like it lots. Maybe if we have another girl.

It is interesting that you say "liberal red" and "conservative blue." It's the opposite here ... liberal blue and conservative red. At least I think it is. Maybe I've just been confused for a long time.

Jesser is right...conservative red and liberal blue here in the States.

I love the name Jayne :).

Hellooooo, EMILY here! I'm not hurt, no really, not at all. Whatever, I don't want to be tagged for the damn meme anyways. My middle name's Elizabeth and that's way too long, so ha!

Sigh... OK, I'll add this to my pile of things I need to blog about that I'm way behind on!

You also need to add your award & pass it of, too. I like Jayne. And, of course you are nice.

I got tagged for this one and I'm still working on it. I can't ever think of the words I need when it has to start with a specific letter!
I won't bother to ask my hubby I'm sure he'd come up with smart ass words to come back with....

I've been tagged for this one twice already and have suckedwith my 7 letter middle name (which you know if you read the lastest of my 100 things! OOOOOOOH!)

Your things about your name/ Made me die laughing. It's too early for this much loudness. I woke the girl!

My niece, also in Edmonton has a very small poodle she named Emma Jane. It is on her tag. She is very cute (the dog that is). My niece is nice. Anyway, my middle name is Amelia. I don't do memes but like the awards on your blog I always say that one day I might choose one and do it on a lark. Or maybe not. Funny post. I like what you said for E, I giggled. My kids don't think I am nice either.

I like that you manage to sound both a little crusty and incredibly funny at the same time. That's my kind of gal.

Cool middle name, btw. I like the "y" in there!

I've been searching for a girl's middle name and I think I'm going to steal yours, lol
When I was pregnant with my son I couldn't come up with a middle name for my "just in case it's a girl name" and now that he's 4 months old I finally have one lol

My middle name is Leslie Marie and I know that even if I were to attempt this Meme I don't have enough blogger friends to tag for all those letters! lol
