You know I very rarely complain. (Shut up, people reading this, I complain to you, not the Big Man himself.) I feel today that I am entitled to send a wee complaint your way.
I hate to tell you this but it's April. And I know you know that because we did just mark a holiday celebrating the death of your son. That's very Irish of you...celebrating a death. And yeah, I know we are actually celebrating his rising but the fact is, the man died first. I know, I know, I don't go to church enough. Stop the lecture, I realize my knowledge of all things religious is sorely lacking. You'll get your revenge in a few weeks when I sit in church for SIX HOURS with my daughter.
So anyway, I veered off topic. It's April as I was saying.
And do you know what season April falls in?
Spring. Yes, spring. Grass and flowers starting to bloom and flooded sidewalks. i really like spring, God, so tell me why I have been watching snow fall from the moment I woke up this morning?
Exactly what have I and all the other people in this city done to incur your wrath?
Give me spring God. Please. I'm not going to promise to go to church weekly because it would just be a lie. And I'm sure it would be worse to lie. Wouldn't it?
This winter weather is making me grumpy. And if there's one thing my household hates it's a grumpy mummy.
Please keep my house happy.
Love,
Emma

Hi Emma I don't want to make you more grumpy by telling you we have lovely warm weather here. It's quite unusual to be this warm at Easter. Lets hope your snow soon melts and you can enjoy the pleasures of Spring ;-)
I've heard how lovely it is there! My aunt has a sunburn.
Amen!
I am definetly looking forward to spring as well if it would just come already. No snow but still cold and rainy. I'm done with it
I don't think it's just your city, fortunately for you. It's crap everywhere, as my tulips can attest. Makes me grumpy too, because I hate sitting inside all day!
I love snow, but I can imagine that at this time of year it's not what you want.... We've had stupidly warm weather for this time of year here. Mr H got sun burnt with in a short time of beinmg outside gardening.
Emma I won't be mean and tell you about our wonderful, warm, springlike, getting sunburnt weather we're having, ooops I already did and there's me jealous of your snow but I'd only want it for a week or two not SIX months.
I still think you should move to Ireland!
Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. God should stop worrying about which celebrities win Oscars (since they're always thanking him like He does nothing all day but help them pick movie roles and develop their craft) and worry about the weather. It was freezing cold in Dallas for Easter, so we had to do our Easter egg hunt inside so Little Man could wear his Easter outfit.
I hear you - had the same converation with God myself the other day. I'm so over this non-Spring weather.
It has been very cold here too! I'm ready to have my spring back!!!!
amen, sister!
Amen sister, Amen!
SIX hours in church? What for?
