Because my middle name is Procrastination

I am lazy. Lazy, lazy, lazy.

This is what I was meant to do this week:

Type up school council minutes from March 12.

Type up a letter to go home to parents at school to join a fun, exciting committee! The photo committee! Because guess what! I'm not going to be at the school next year and I don't give a flying fangoozle what photographer you use!

Type up board minutes.

Type up letter to neighbours telling them what losers they are, and how they do nothing in this neigbourhood. It's not my idea, it's the president's. Why am I typing it? Because I'm a loser who can't say no.

Type up a general "you are a loser who does nothing, come see the board to tell us why you even bother to live here" participation letter to numerous neighbours.

Fax public school board to request use of school for general meeting. Was supposed to be done in Febraury. Oops.

Fax City of Ed. to sign neighbourhood up for the capit@l city cle@nup.

Sort out Easter gifts. Make sure there is some sembelance of fairness.

Find 12X12 scrapbook paper.

Decide what to take on weekend away, which is only 8 days away! Happiness abounds. Yet, sort of sad too. Am afraid this may be the end of breastfeeding.

Choose and print 5 pictures for scrapbooking party I am going to tomorrow. Creative Memories. Not really my thing. I don't like white. And it's Holy Mother of God expensive.

Phone and set up interviews for half a dozen applicants.

This is what I did this week:

Sent the two faxes.

Typed up the notice requesting volunteers for the photo committee. it was only supposed to be done in January so I figured I had better get a move on.

And that's it. Nothing else at all.

I can't even blame this on pregnancy.

Do you think I can blame it on my period?

Wow Emma, that's a lot of typing. I hate doing that kind of thing and would put it off. Can you blame it on life and delegate?

Not sure whether it's congrats or commiserations on the period.

Wow...you do a lot of volunteering and with the baby no wonder you don't feel like doing it.

I wouldn't volunteer for much with a new baby but I'm getting ready to get on board with everything else now that I won't be working.

I say you can blame ANYTHING on your period.

Too much, brain overload. Emma hon you seem to take on way too much for a woman with half as many kiddies. Maybe you could drop some of the less pleasing tasks, like the writing to the neigbours thing.

What's that all about anyway? Do you live in some sort of community housing scheme or condo association or something?

Ha, girl, you can blame anything on your period! That is the only good thing about having them!

Yeah, I think with four kids, including one that's only a few months old, you should get a get our scott free card!

And about your comment, I actually don't call my hubby from my cube telling him to shave, I just thought it made the post more amusing! But yes, I have told him to shave before, because I don't like razor burn! :)

I can't belive you didn't get the 12x12 paper - that sounded like the most fun task on your list! : ) I use Creative Memories stuff - I assume by not liking white you mean white pages? I always cover mine in paper - I don't like a lot of white either.

Well, you didn't put "write a blog" on your to do list. You should have so then you could have checked it off and felt a little more productive!

I agree Emma we can blame anything on the period and having 4 kids i use them as my excuse whenever it seems fit. You seem to take on a lot of outside stuff.

sounds a lot like me. I have a pile of to do's that I never care to work on.

I'm a terrible procrastinator too. It's been even worse since I had Lila, so I can only imagine what it's like with four kids.

"Oops. It seems my PC caught another nasty virus and ate all that stuff I so diligently typed for you folks. Sorry."

Do all these boards and committees read this blog? Now that would be a funny reaction to type about...
