Dear Carolina Hurricane players,
You lot certainly don't listen very well. Did I not ask you to please lose this series in four so you could spare my family torment? Didn't I say my wee Liam would get picked on for cheering for you?
So what did you do? You went and won the game! Oh, you teased me pretty well, letting the Oilers get a 3-0 lead. That was nice of you. And then you went and won it 5-4! I was at a meeting so I missed the game and I still don't know what you did to our poor goalie, but I see he's out for the rest of the series. There's an awful lot of pressure on poor Conklin now. And I'm just now sure he can pull it off.
But I digress. Let me tell you what happened to Liam today. He was tripped for his support of you. He had his two Hurricane flags that he had made taken off of him and ripped apart. I said to him that I told him this is what would happen if he blatantly supported a team that no one else was supporting. I told him that there was no point in being upset. He did not listen. He got his revenge when you won, I guess.
And I'll tell you a wee secret. I was actually sort of happy that you won, just for Liam's sake. But that's enough, boys. I fully expect nothing but losses from now on. Yours, not the Oilers. Let's just make that clear.
Thanks,
Emma
