Getting On

Can someone please explain to me why I can not get along with my daughter? I thought that she would come back from England and everything would be grand, but I was so very wrong. We fight about absolutely everything. Why is this? She's only 10 for gods sakes, what will it be like when she is 13 or 16? I shudder to think. I don't know where her strong personality comes from...at her age I would have cowered if my mother yelled at me and meekly done whatever she wanted. Not my Taylor, though. She'd disagree with you if you told her that n comes after m.

Since it looks like we while be fighting for the next 8 years I will look at the positive things about Taylor's argumentive personality- 1) she'll make a great lawyer and 2) no man will walk over her.

I admire the woman she will one day become, but I hope I survive the child that she is.

10 is one of the worst ages though. All that arguing and very little logic behind it. I'd say things will actually get better in a few years. You'll still argue but you'll have a better idea as to why it's happening.;)

UI, she has been this way since her first temper tantrum at the age of 9 months, when she threw herself across the floor and scraped the back of her head. But I do hold out hope that it will improve one day.
