Feck, I forgot

I think I said yeasterday that I was going to cheer for Portugal to take the World Cup. But then last night as I was crawling into bed (yes, crawling! Getting in and out of bed is extremely hard work at my advanced stage of pregnancy/bad back/sciatica. Do you people not read the other blog? I know most of you do not, I have statcounter people.) I remembered that Ronaldo plays for Portugal and he plays for Man U, who is on my list of banned teams. (That would be Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U for those amongst you who care to know. What? None of you? Too bad, already told.)

And then as I was laying awake on my left side with a pillow stuck between my legs- which let me tell you is becoming highly uncomfortable as it is one of only 2 positions I can sleep in (the other being on the right side, pillow stuck between legs)- I realized that in reality I couldn't cheer for France either as they have Theirry who plays for Arsenal, my third most hated team.

And it could go on and on couldn't it? I do not know the teams well enough to know who plays where off the top of my head, I'll have to be watching today to be able to say "Man U fucker" or whatever.

I'll probably go for France due only to the fact that Zinedine Zidane is some sexy, even if he does have one of the most ridiculous names I've ever heard. No offense to any Zinedine's out there, or to your mothers or fathers, to each their own they tell me. In fact, I work with a girl who named her son Zinedine. He is the same age as my Saoirse and I wonder what beatings his school career holds. So says the mother of a child called Saoirse in Canada.

Zidane is plenty sexy and my fave player on earth, despite the bald spot.

Zinedine is a fairly weird name, but then Zizou, his nickname, is very hot in a cartoon way. Go France!

I dont think kids would get the same beating over here in Canada for their name that they would get back in Ireland or Britain.

I can just imagine though someone shouting out from the corporation flats in Dublin for Zinedine Murphy to come up as his dinner was on the table.

Oh, I don't know. Kids can be cruel and sometimes emotional beatings are much worse than physical ones. And if there's one thing Canadian kids are is mean!

I have no doubt that kids can be mean and cruel. And your right I suppose Canadian kids can be as mean as any other kids.

I will say though that if I ever have a daughter then Saoirse would be right up there for the choice of name. I love that name.
