Emma, I know Grosse Pointe is a suburb of Chicago or Detroit because Elmore Leonard uses it in books and John Cusack and Minnie Driver starred in the film Grosse Pointe Blank, and both have Irish connections.
Grosse Ile I don't know but I'm about to look it up now. It's not in my old encyclopedia.
Emma, gottit along with atmospheric music on Yahoo, which I find beats Google. Good one.

Frank, I rather like google. I used to always use yahoo or Ask Jeeves, but when the cable guy hooked up my computer, he set my homepage to google. V. handy.
I've never heard of it.
I use Dogpile, which uses all the search engines together, just cause nobody else uses it.
Squares? Is that what you see? It's supposed to show Japanese characters. If you can't see them the font must not be installed on your PC. I'm working on a big template update to my blog and I think I'll change it to something in English then.

Emma, when I started blogging I foun dthat Yahoo was finding my pages a lot more quickly that Goodle was. And Yahoo.com was better than Yahoo.co.uk
Yahoo was even finding my name in haloscan boxes.
No posting by me this week so far as I've been occupied with other things. Hope to write something new in the coming days.
Grosse Ile is also an island outside trenton, MI, where Aidan went to daycare while I was still working!
I'm sure that's not what you were looking for, but since I am like two years late I don't guess it matters.
