So much for 30 posts in the 30 days! I made it to 6, actually I had day 7 almost completed when I walked away from an almost finished post and then got distracted. And then I got sick. I went to bed at 10.30 and at about 11 I thought "Oh no, my post! Ack, fuck it!" and then I lay back and watched 20/20.
So I failed. But not really. Because you know what? I really enjoyed posting this week. Sure it was trivial stuff (though I did love the Thursday 13 post on my kids names) but I had fun. There was no pressure, I wasn't out for comments. I did receive some comments from new people and so had an opportunity to discover some new blogs, adding to my ever growing list of "I really like you! But I have no time to read you!" blogs.
And I am okay with this too. I am going to update my sadly neglected blogroll and google reader and just go through the list, with the goal to get to every blog at least once a week by doing a Monday A-E, Tuesday F-K sort of thing. I'll see if it works. Oh, and commenting on at least one post. I need to start commenting!
I better start searching for the NaBloPoMo failure widget. I'm quite proud of myself.

You did better than me. I didn't even attempt NaBloPoMo. I've always thought you were quite a good commenter...I'd have never known you're a slacker :).
I blog most days but if I had joined in this I know I would have put myself under pressure. I enjoyed your name post!

Hello, I'm new to your blog and find it pretty humerous myself. I'm with you, I try to blog but if I miss a couple of days, oh well. Must mean I'm busy. I have three boys ages 13,12,and 2. My oldest two are very active in soccer and we usually travel once a month. My youngest son tries to keep up with them which wears me out. Anyways, I just wanted to intoduce myself and hopefully you can stop by and say hello as well.

Want to know why I didn't even bother trying NaBloPoMo??? Because I didn't know what the heck it's called or what the abreviation stands for....or how to get a widget on my page! Forget it.

Failure such a hard word. NaBloPoMoly challenged perhaps. Either way I've been enjoying your posts whether you're in NaBloPoMo or not. So it's win-win for me :o)
Oh and you do realize your little twilight widget thingy cuts out your post right? Not so bad when I click on your blog, but in the feeder it cuts out some of the post for that day. On the widget it says you can grab it but I've been sitting here trying to grab the damn thing to move it with no luck. Unless that's just a trick to see how long people sit here trying to grab it and I fell for it. And in that case I didn't try at all and the widget's just fine.
Well that is too bad you ended up sick because it wasn't even your fault you didn't post, or not totally anyway.
