It is, as far as I know, very rare to receive post in Canada on a Sunday. The Sunday before Christmas must be an exception. I came downstairs to see that a box had arrived and it was my ornament from Julie's Christmas Ornament Swap. I was very excited as I had reserved a spot dead centre on the front of the tree for the ornament.
And how lucky I was to find that it was from Lisa, whose blog is full of amazing photographs and beautiful children and even a grandchild.
A couple of days before the ornament arrived I was talking to a friend about my ideal tree and I said that it would be snowmen, with the odd polar bear thrown in for good measure. I love snowmen, I put the "snow" decorations out on November 1st and usually leave them up until mid March when the snow is getting really disgusting and my St. Patrick's Day decorations come out.
So what do you think my ornament should be but a snowman. It's like Lisa read my mind.
Thanks Lisa! I love it, and it will be on my tree each and every year and I will think of you when I put it up (since I always tell stories about the ornaments...which drives some people crazy.) And thanks to Julie for organizing such a great swap. I hope there's one next year.

How sweet...and I thought I was late posting about my ornament!
That is a cute ornament!
That's one cute little snowman.
Awesome....and Christmas just keeps on keeping on. I loved doing this! It is amazing the way the ornaments were just so appropriate to each person.
I love ornaments that represent a story - it wouldn't drive me crazy if you told me. :) It's almost like looking at family photos in someone's home.
aww that is sweet :) Lovely ornament!
what a cute snowman!!
I'm so happy you like it! :) I thought snow (snowman) was a good representation of Wisconsin. :) I'm also like you and leave the snowmen out all winter.
My Christmas tree is nothing but snowmen, snowflakes and icicles. And the snowman decorations are still out and will be until late Feb. If I get your name next year, I will know what to send you.
A nice ornament. I love snow people too, and put mine out when the snow flies in November and take them down in March when the weather starts getting nicer and I feel like I want spring to hurry up.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...I lvoe snowman ornaments!!!! =)
Very cute ornament! I love the stories that go along with the tree trimming each year...remembering who gave who which ornament! Great idea!!
