The inquisitive Alissa asked how many people I've slept with.
And my answer is that I will tell if you tell. Of course, none of us will know if the other is lying, but I'll trust you. Because I'm a trusting sort of gal.
And quite a few people wondered what the big lie is. As I wrote that post I questioned whether I would be able to say what it was and I still don't know but even putting it out there felt somewhat liberating. It's had to keep things to yourself sometimes. As the very smart Catwoman pointed out, it is likely that people are assuming things that may be even worse. Though I don't know what could be worse than that. Although I do tend to justify it by saying it all worked out for the best. I think.
So what do you think that big lie is?
Oh and today I guest blogged over at Terri's, though I forgot to change the time and it actually posted with yesterday's date.
I swear to God tonight I am going to post about my summer swap gift and the upcoming swap that I am hosting. Are you in? It's all about books.

The secret...I don't know. I do know it is liberating to share, but you have to be sure that you want to share. Know what I mean?
I don't mind telling but my number is really low (could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you talk to). I've only slept with two men. Yep, really low. And the first one was horrible. That's a little sad.
Oh my daughters wouldn't want their mother to make such public disclosures!!

I recently saw an article that said women have, on average 4, partners. Men have, on average, 7 partners -
(they questioned the finding considering that the population is about 50/50 - someone is probably "stretching" the truth - could it be the guys?)
I was gonna give my number then I saw karmyn's comment and, crap, I'm above average is all I'm saying!

Rachel- Me too. In fact, I think that both sides probably skewered the numbers lower. I don't even go that low when I lie about it though!

I'm guessing yours is a little higher since you obviously have children w/ two men, and I'm guessing those aren't the only two you've been with....maybe 3??

Are we into brutal honesty today? My hubby & I both walked into the honeymoon suite at the Ritz virgins. I've managed to break the headboards at two separate hotels since then, so I think we must be doing something right!I hope I'm not too boring now for you to come & visit!

Yeah, I've blogged about the fact that I don't know my number, because I refused to keep track of it. But I know it's more than the average though. In fact, if I'd kept track, I'm sure I'm the reason the men's number is higher... ;)

That said...I have my own ideas on you big lie but I doubt they're right.
And my number? A stunning trio. Actually the first 2 were a bust and the third I married. ;) Joshua WAS a one night stand you know. I was a VERY GOOD GIRL for a long time and met my husband only 3 years after losing my virginity you know. But sex isn't everything and if you wanted me to count how many people I've been naked with? I can't even imagine. And I was a good girl too. lmao. :)
