I watched the Faith Hill clip on youtube about a dozen times and each time it made me laugh. Not because of the screamed "WHAT??" but because she threw her arms up as if she was posing for a picture and then she realized. Holy fuck, she lost to an American Idol. Down go the arms, out comes the dismayed cry, off she goes.
I can not be the only former child out there who used to practice my grammy/oscar/emmy speech but I certainly didn't practice my gracious loser smile. She was expected to win, and it would be pretty devastating to lose I am sure. But seriously...why the fuck would you lie about it when the entire internet friendly world can see exactly what you did. Admit it, aplogize and move on. Tomorrow someone else will do something stupid and we will move on.
And people of California...what the hell were you thinking? The man's an eejit. And a Republican. And not even the good sort of republican.

I don't understand all the hubub about that Faith Hill thing. She was just joking. She's not really that conceited... Right?
Yeah, I don't know about that one... I'd like to believe her when she says she was just kidding, but I think she was genuinely surprised, since at those award shows, if your category is right after you sang onstage, it means you're the winner, since they don't let you go back to your seat. Since she was standing backstage, I think she was certain she was going to win. But you'd think being around for a while, she would have learned to do her gracious loser face. Sara evans looked pissed too, probably thinking that she should win since her husband's a totally dog jerk pig.
